Antibiotics most used medicines in Iran
SARI, Dec. 2 (MNA) -- Antibiotics are the most widely consumed medicines by the Iranian citizens, an official at Sari social security department in Mazandaran Province said here on Wednesday.
“Antibiotics are the most widely drugs prescribed by physicians and used by people across the country,” Mohammad Khorshidi said.
Medicine consumption has been dramatically increased over the past years, he lamented.
Criticizing Iran’s high consumption of medicine compared with other countries, he called for changes in usage patterns.
