First medals presented in the 25th SEA Games 2009

(KPL) Singapore has managed to defend its championship of water polo as the team won a gold medal in the 25th SEA Games 2009 in Vientiane yesterday after beating Thailand by the scores of 8-5.
The bronze medal has gone to the Philippines, that defeated Indonesia by 13-8.
The medal was presented by Standing Deputy Prime Minister and President of the SEA Games Organising Committee Mr. Somsavat Lengsavad.
This is the first gold medal won in the 25th SEA Games in Vientiane.
The water polo competition started on 5 December, at the National Swimming Pool at KM 16, with the participation of four teams, namely Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
