YEMEN DISCUSSES WITH SPAIN, FAQ FURTHER COOPERATION TIES
SANA'A, June 04 (Saba) - Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammed Shamlan held talks here on Wednesday with the Spanish ambassador to Sana'a Marcos Vega and the representative of Food and AgricultureOrganization (FAO) in Yemen Hashem al-Shami.
Shamlan discussed with the Spanish diplomat the mutual cooperation between the two countries in field of packaging and export fish according to the European standards.
For his part, Vega voiced his country's readiness to present the technical and financial support to Yemen in the fisheries field, highlighting to the Yemen's real needs for setting up aninfrastructure in this field.
On the other hand, minister of fisheries wealth held talks also with Hashem al-Shami, the FAO's representative in Sana'a on cooperation fields between Yemen and the organization in terms of studying and analyzing the fisheries's data and information as well as locating the areas suitable for aquaculture.
The two officials discussed the possibility of activating the joint cooperation between the two sides, particularity in collecting the statistic data and using the modern statistic means to collect the fisheries information in the Arab and Red Seas.
