BAKU HOSTS 15TH ANNIVERSARY INTERNATIONAL CASPIAN OIL AND GAS EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE
Baku, June 5 (AzerTAj) - The two-day 15th Anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Conference started in Hyatt Regency Hotel, on Wednesday.
The first day of the conference was dedicated to the role of Caspian oil and gas resources in energy supply to Europe.
Senior adviser of ITE Group Plc Andrew Wood and Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev welcomed the conference participants and wished them success.
British Minister for Trade and Investment Lord Digby Jones, Deputy Assistant Secretary, department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of US Matthew J.Bryza, Deputy Undersecretary, Minister of Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Yusuf Yazar, Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Energy Petar Dimitrov, head of Bp Azerbaijan Bill Schrader, senior Vice President StatoilHydro TorgeirKydland, SOFAZ Executive Director Shahmar Movsumov and others delivered reports on oil and gas strategy of Azerbaijan.
They underlined that participation of 380 companies from 33 countries in Baku exhibition and conference testifies on keeninterest of the foreign companies to the Caspian pool.
The conference is underway.
