LAO, LUXEMBOURG BANKS BOOST BILATERAL COOPERATION
Vientiane, June 5 (KPL) - The central Bank of the Lao PDR and the Bank of Luxembourg signed an MOU on bilateral cooperation in fund administration, technical assistance and human resources development.
The signing was made during participation of the Lao central bank delegation in the annual meeting of the banks of the Francophonie countries, held in Luxembourg on 28-29 May.
Mr. Phouphet Khamphounvong, Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR, and Mr Yves Mersch, Governor of the Luxembourg Bank have inked the MOUUnder the MOU, the two sides have agreed to enhance mutual cooperation in human resources development and technical assistance. The two sides also agreed to take turn to host the annual meeting to review the past cooperation.
Mr Phouphet has invited Mr Mersch to visit Laos next year.
