PRESIDENT TO MAKE WORKING VISIT TO EAST JAVA

Surabaya, E Java, Dec 11 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to conduct a working visit to East Java province on December 23, 2009, chairman of the committee which will welcome the president, Erlangga Satriagung said.

Erlangga said here on Friday that the president during his tour of East Java would witness the installation of the Navy's Academy cadets.

"The president will also attend a function held to mark the implementation of the 100 day work program of the Indonesia United Cabinet in East Java," he said.

The 100 day work program concerned with the development activities in East Java, both sectoral and regional development, he said.

Yudhoyono will also hand over a number of assistance packages and witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between East Java regional government and a number of private businesses.

He will also witness exhibitions which display various export and import products, small industrial goods and development exhibition.
