RE-QUALIFICATION PROGRAM FOR YEMEN GUANTANAMO DETAINEES IN USA
SANA'A, June 6 (Saba) - The American ambassador to Yemen Stephan Seche has headed lately for the United States to show his administration there an inclusive program Yemen prepared to re-qualifyits Guantanamo detainees after it receives them.
Well-informed sources told the military-run weekly 26 September that the program aims to set up an ambitious strategy to fight terrorism through re-educate and re-qualify the returnees from Guantanamo as well as re-integrate them in the society.
The program also includes settling the returnees' life situations and give them a chance to meet their relatives.
Worth mentioning, some Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo camp have managed to make phone calls with their families for the first time.
It is expected that about 85 Yemeni detainees would be released soon, especially after renewing the Yemeni request to the USA administration for delivering all its detainees in the camp.
