FIRST TUBE BABY BORN WITH SPERMS FROM ABROAD

Hanoi, June 7 (VNA)- A 34 year old woman delivered birth to a tube baby, fertilized with frozen sperms sent from abroad, at the Central Obstetrics Hospital in Hanoi on June 4. Hospital Director Nguyen Viet Tien said on June 5 that the mother and her American husband have married for six years but had not yet had any child due to infertility. Not until this time, the patient had applied tube fertilization technique for several times but all failed, Tien said. It's the first case in the hospital successful with frozen sperms sent from abroad. The 3.8 kg new-born baby and the mother both are physically in good conditions.
