Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The involvement in pre-school education in Selenge province has reached 74.7 per cent thanks to state sponsorship for expense of kindergarten children's food. It shows a 17.4 per cent increase against the state average and 8.9 per cent increase against the previous year.
Presently, 5,900 children go to state-owned and private kindergartens and creches, besides, ger-kindergartens are working in some 10 soums for children from poor families.

The "Lunch" program is covering 1-5th grades' 9,900 pupils of secondary schools in the aimag. Of them, 35 schools have refined the program to improve a quality of given in kindergartens lunch, and now pupils have hot lunch three times a week at school.
School kitchens of Baruunburen, Orkhontuul soums and Kherkh village have received facilities in the scope of the "Sustainable livelihood-2" project with a financing from the World Bank.

The province's Health Department wants to render on-the-spot medical assistance to those living in remoted areas, to herdsmen, farmers and people of vulnerable group.
This year, some 2,200 people of 17 soums received medical service. Of them, 117 fully recovered, 62 went into constant medical control.
