VIETNAM JOINTS INT'L FAIR IN ALGERIA

Algiers, Juni 8 (VNA) - Eight Vietnamese businesses are displaying craft, fine art articles and garments at an international fair, which opened in Algeria 's capital city of Algiers on June 7. The 41 st Algiers International Fair, themed "New industrial strategy for development of Algeria ," is one of the largest annual economic and commercial events in Algeria . The fair draws the participation of more than 1,500 businesses from 40 countries, with two from Sweden and Venezuela joining the event for the first time. As part of the fair programme, seminars will be held for businesses and experts to discuss measures to boost trade and develop tourism and biological technology. The fair, which lasts for 7 days, is expected to attract around 500,000 visitors.
