Aktobe, December 20, 2009, Khabar - The city council of Aktobe organized a sweet holiday for its residents. As part of the celebration of Independence Day, Aktobe has witnessed a contest of confectioners. A 23 kilogramme cake received a title of the best pastry cook of Aktobe.
Diana Dautova, pastry designer:
- This cake is fully edible, apart from illumination. The cake was made according to German technology. At first we baked an angel cake. The lower layer is made of chocolate and curds and the upper layer is decorated with protein cream and flower paste. The cake is very tasty.
Its creators said that the size does not interrupt following technology. The contest involved representatives of the ten largest confectionary plants of the city and all people were able to taste the product and many of them asked cooks to reveal their secrets.
Anar Darzhanova, panel of judges, confectioners’ competition:
- The contest is held as part of the celebration of Independence Day and the theme and decoration of the contest is correspondent to the event. Confectioners are using the production of local manufacturers.
Gulmira Iliyasova, confectioner:
- We have decided that the cake should symbolize the greatness of Kazakhstan, its steppes and friendship of nations. I hope we succeeded and people enjoyed the cake.
