Ministry of Culture and Information and law on state order

Astana, December 24, 2009 (Khabar) - The Ministry of Culture and Information has started the discussion of amendments to the law on state social order. The ministry and representatives of NGOs are planning to send the law to the parliament in September, 2010. The document will include norms of avoidance of double taxation of state social order funds, simplification of procedure of registering and liquidation of NGOs and the notion of “Socially Responsible Business”.

Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva, executive secretary, Ministry of Culture and Information of RK:
- You know that according to experts’ estimations, the local legislation in the area of NGOs is one of the best in the CIS. But there's no limit to perfection and that is why the present level of development of nongovernmental organizations needs changes.

All Kazakhstan’s residents are allowed to participate in the development and discussion of the law draft.

Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva, executive secretary, Ministry of Culture and Information of RK:
- Today we have created a special section of the web site of the ministry, which has the concept of the law draft, the composition of the working team, their working schedule and present law on state order. This section allows anyone sending his suggestions and additions to the draft.

The ministry promised to conduct the process of development of the law draft transparently.
