Yemen discusses culture cooperation with Turkey, Germany

SANA'A, June 10 (Saba)- Culture Minister Mohammad Abu Bakr al-Maflahi discussed on Monday with Turkish ambassador to Yemen Turel Ozkarol the aspects of the current culture cooperation between the two countries and ways of improving them . The minister affirmed the importance of Turkey's support to Yemen in the field of the restoration of manuscripts, handicrafts and historical monuments made during the Ottoman era. The talks also dealt with the possibility of training Yemeni cadres, particularly in the field of cinema and theater in addition to holding a Yemeni-Turkish cultural week. On the another hand, al-Maflahi held talks with the German cinematic expert Willy Kraus on means of benefiting from her experiences in the implementation of cinema production. Its worth mentions that the Ministry agreed to produce a number of Yemen documentary films at the cost of $100,000 in collaboration with a number of European embassies in Sana'a.
