Revival of townlets in Kazakhstan
Taraz, December 27, 2009, Khabar - During his working trip, the head of the Zhambyl region Kanat Bozumbayev has promised that the city of Zhanatas will receive the second life. The local authoritiers plan to build enrichment plant and new park and overhaul the town. The heating of houses was the important problem for several years and last year the authorities allocated money for the repair of heating lines and boiling station. But most town residents failed to pay for heating. And cost of mazut was compensated due to the regional treasury.
Kanat Bozumbayev, Zhambyl regional governor:
- First of all, it is necessary to replace all old equipment, which is installed in boiler rooms of Zhanatas, since it consumes a lot of black oil. We should also start to use coal. I believe that such projects will be repaid within 2-3 years.
The alternative fuel will cost eight times less and the head of the region believes that saved money could be used for the development of the city infrastructure. Kanat Bozumbayev is sure that it will be possible to reconstruct some houses and open nursery schools and sport centres. These ideas found support of officials of the city. The Kazfosfat enterprise employs almost 2000 residents of Zhanatas and new coal-preparation plant, the construction of which will start in the near future, will employ a least 200 people.

- This enterprise pays over 600 million tenge in taxes to the local budget. We are going to work with them in order to increase their profit and payments to the budget.
Local hospital witnessed the installation of modern equipment. Although the hospital invited some specialists, there is still lack of doctors. Kanat Bozumbayev said that soon young specialists, who will undergo advanced training in Israel, will come to the city.
