Search and clearing operations in North and East continue
Colombo Lankapuvath December 30) Troops conducting further search operations in Mullattivu recovered explosives hidden in the area yesterday (29).
According to the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) troops of the Task Force II recovered 16 kg of TNT Explosives, 35kg of Explosive powder, 02 .22 Weapons, 20 Detonators, a 10kg Pressure mine, a 15kg Claymore mine and 02 Detonator cords from Puthukuduirippu yesterday.
In another search operation in Chempankadu area, Kilinochchi troops of the 66 division recovered a 122mm round and a 40mm Grenade launcher Round the same day.
Meanwhile in search operations in Wellankulam area in Mannar, troops of the 212 Brigade recovered 06 Hand grenades reported the MCNS.
