Project “Theatrical Kazakhstan” takes off on January 02
Almaty, January 02, 2010 (Khabar) - The fans of drama, opera and ballet will be able to watch the favorite plays sitting at home. “Khabar” Agency launches a new project “Theatrical Kazakhstan”. On January 02, the TV spectators will watch opera of Gaetano Donizetti “Elixir of Love” with a splendid opera singer Maira Muhamedkyzy. The premiere of “Elixir of Love” took place in Abai Theater of Opera and Ballet several months ago. Nurzhan Bazhekenov will also be a soloist. Opera diva became the first Kazakhstani singer, invited to the Paris “Grand Opera”. All the premiers are broadcasted in Europe. This opera is incredibly popular there, and tickets for the performances are sold for a few hours. According to Maira Muhamedkyzy, the new program will get acquainted Kazakhstan’s citizens with theatrical masterpieces.

- Of course, it is a great chance and happiness for us. This is a great joy for our people, even more for our fans. Not everyone can go to the theater, someone sits at home. Many fans of the opera are disabled people and pensioners. They can not get to the theater on the show every time.
“Theatrical Kazakhstan” will be broadcasted on Saturdays at 2 p.m. The project was created with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information.
Viewers will watch drama, comedy, opera and ballet productions. Only in 2009 more than 30 performances were shot.

- We will demonstrate the best performances of the leading theaters: Almaty Opera Theater, Auezov Drama Theater, Lermontov Drama Theater. Also the archives of the “Khabar” Agency has many records of other theaters, during its existence the channel recorded more than 100 performances of the various theaters, including the Korean, and German, and Theater of Young Spectators, and Karaganda Musical Comedy Theater.
The creators of the program plan to journey throughout the country in search of the most brilliant productions of large cities and regional theaters.
