BIGGER CROWD EXPECTED AT MATTA FAIR

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 (Bernama) -- The 2010 Malaysia Association of Tour and
Travel Agents (Matta) Fair in March is expected to receive about 80,000
visitors.

Matta president Mohd Khalid Harun said the target figure was 10,000 more
than the previous fair as the economy was improving while the influenza A (H1N1)
threat was waning.

He said bookings for 893 exhibition booths would be opened to tour and
travel agents from Monday to Jan 22.

Besides Asian countries, Matta expects to get exhibitors from Mexico, he
told reporters here Tuesday.

He said visitors would be offered Matta membership cards, which would
entitle them to a discount at the fair to be held at the PWTC from March 12 to
14.
