Vientiane and Hai Duong agree on cooperation in sports, culture and tourism
(KPL) Laos’s Vientiane province and Vietnam’s Hai Duong province signed an MoU on co-operation in culture, sports and tourism in Vientiane last week.
The signatories to this MoU were Mr In-one Pradith, Head of the Sports Office of Vientiane province, and Mr Nguyen Duc Viet, Deputy Head of Culture-Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong province.
The aim of this agreement was to strengthen the relationship between Laos and Vietnam, especially the two provinces, Vientiane and Hai Duong.
Recently, Hai Duong province had been generous to Vientiane province, by providing training courses on shooting and minimalatone in Hai Duong, to prepare Vientiane athletes for the latest national games - the 8th Champassak Games in 2008.
Hai Duong province also provided two coaches for Vientiane province, a male coach for volleyball and a female coach for football.
Hai Duong province would continue to provide training courses for athletes of Vientiane province to prepare them for the 9th Luang Prabang Games, in 2011.
For this year, Hai Duong province has invited the Sports, Tourism and the Information and Culture sector of Vientiane province for a study tour in Hai Duong province and to meet informally to exchange lessons with their counterparts of this Vietnamese province.
