Laos prepares for 8th ASEAN labour skill competition in Thailand
(KPL) Contesters are in preparation for the 8th ASEAN Labour Skill competition in Thailand, which will be held this year’s end. Lao competitors will be sent to compete in seven out of 21 subjects—masonry, culinary, carpentry, IT and software, tailoring, cable running and welding.
Mr. Phouvanh Chanthavong, Head of the Labour Skill Development and Job Recruitment Department, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, said that the preparation of the 8th ASEAN Labour Skill Competition in Thailand at the end of this year was to promote the development of labour skill of workers in ASEAN member countries.
The competition is organised every two years by an ASEAN country.
