Iran’s 8-month non-oil exports surpass $28 billion
TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) -- Iran’s non-oil exports in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (ended on November 21, 2011) amounted to 28.6 billion dollars, showing 39.5 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
The Customs Administration Head, Abbas Me’marnejad, told that imports hit 39.7 billion dollars in the eight-month period, indicating six percent decline year on year.
Iran has set the target of 41 billion dollars for non-oil exports in the current Iranian calendar year (to end March 20, 2012), an official with the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said.
Iran's non-oil export items mainly include gas condensates, mineral fuels, chemical products, plastics, fruits, nuts, fertilizers and carpets.
