Iran to sign deals for development of 13 oil fields soon

TEHRAN, Feb. 6 (MNA) – An Iranian Oil Ministry official announced on Monday that contracts will be signed for development of 13 oil fields soon. “The plan for development of 13 oil fields will be signed soon,” said Ahmad Qalebani, the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company. He also said that by the end of the Iranian calendar month of Esfand (Feb. 20 –March 19) deals will be signed for development of 20 oil fields. Qalebani made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony in which a deal was signed domestic contractors for development of the Changouleh oil field at a value of 200 to 250 million dollars. The Changouleh oil field is estimated to hold 3.4 billion barrels of oil.
