Swiss official lauds Abu Dhabi as leading tourism destinations in Middle East

Abu Dhabi, Feb 21, 2012 (WAM) - Walter Loser, Adviser at Lausanne Tourism Authority says that Abu Dhabi is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Gulf and the Middle East and will continue to attract more Swiss and European visitors. In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), he highlighted the growth and development of tourism cooperation ties between the UAE and Switzerland thanks to the regular flights and high-level of services available in both countries. The Swiss official said that he is visiting the state with a tourist delegation to provide tourism promotional offers in the city of Lausanne. He noted that the Tourism Authority of Lausanne, Switzerland would participate at the Arabian Travel Market 2012 to be held on April 30 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. He termed Arabian Travel Market 2012 the most important event of its kind in the Middle East and an outstanding opportunity to make deals with many of the tourist agents in the Gulf and Arab region. He expressed his keenness to build partnerships with the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the field of tourism education to qualify more cadres in the field of tourism to serve this growing sector.
