Abdullah bin Zayed participates in cleanup campaign in Al Khatem area in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Feb 12, 2012 (WAM) - H. H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister took part on Friday in the cleanup campaign in Al Khatem area in Abu Dhabi. Last month Sheikh Abdullah called in his personal twitter social networking for land environment awareness. The campaign aims at creating more environment awareness, boosting national allegiance, implanting sense of volunteering and preservation of environment. Upon the directives by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Chairman of the Emirates Foundation, The Takatof Voluntary Social Programme supervised over the cleanup campaign. The volunteers from National Media Council, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Takatof, Abu Dhabi Education Council, Community Police, Civil Defence, Culture Centre of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, a number of Cleaning Companies, Emirati and expatriate volunteers took part in the cleanup campaign. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
