‘Hollywood is trying to present positive image of Zionism’
TEHRAN,Feb.5(MNA) – Rabbi Arnold Cohen of the United States is convinced that Hollywood is trying to present a positive image of the Zionism.
Speaking at the conference on Hollywoodism and Cinema here in Tehran, he said that Hollywood tries to depict the Zionists as brave people with great achievements.
Cohen is a member of Neturei Karta, which is an international organization of Orthodox Jews dedicated to the propagation and clarification of Torah Judaism.
He made his remarks on the second day of the conference which took place at the Political and International Study Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Friday.
Hollywood is even going further and tries to show that Zionism is the same as the Judaism, but I say these two are different; Judaism is based on a thousand years of moral values, while Zionism has a history of several hundred years and is void of moral values, he said.
Cohen continued that Zionism has ignored many religious values of Judaism and has brought in a new identity.
He concluded that the cineastes must try to present a true image of Judaism since they are really peace-seeking people and are quite different from the Zionists.
Holocaust denier Robert Faurisson, a French academic who is famous for his denial of the existence of homicidal gas chambers in Nazi concentration camps, began to speak next.
He continued that like an inspector of Holocaust, he conducted research on the homicidal gas chambers to prove that the rooms shown to people as homicidal gas chamber were not real.
A homicidal gas chamber needs to have a complicated system while the chambers in Auschwitz (Poland) were quite simple, he said, adding that the camps said to have been used to burn the Jews alive in crematoriums were actually places where the corpses were kept of those who had died because of illness.
The three-day conference in which a group of foreign participants was honored was opened Thursday by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
