“The World’s Religions” translated into Persian
TEHRAN,.March 1(MNA) -- The Persian translation of “The World’s Religions” by General Editor Christopher Partridge will hit Iran’s bookstores in spring.
The book is due to be released by Qoqnus Publications and will probably appear in Tehran’s International Book Fair in May, translator Abdolali Barati told on Wednesday.
“Part of the book is related to divine religions and other parts review the religions of ancient times in Europe, Africa, and the Far East,” Barati said.
Partridge has conducted extensive research on religion and has collaborated in editing in-depth encyclopedias, Barati said, adding that Partridge has compiled the book with the collaboration of world experts on religion.
Barati regards “The World’s Religions” an encyclopedia on world religions.
“The World’s Religions” features expert authorship, including twelve eminent consulting editors representing a wide international spectrum from the U.K., U.S., Germany, Denmark, Finland, Japan and Australia.
Partridge is a Senior Lecturer in Theology and Contemporary Religion at Chester College. He has published research in the areas of both contemporary Christian theology and also western alternative spiritualities.
He is the editor of Lion’s Encyclopedia of New Religions (2004) and has also written books on religions, mystical experiences and fundamentalisms.
“Introduction to World Religions” and “A Study Companion to Introduction to World Religions” are other books by Partridge.
