Bahraini-South Korean health cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 18 (BNA)-- Chairman of the Supreme Health Council and Head of the High Medical Committee Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain Jonha Yu. He lauded strong relations between the two friendly countries and their progress in various fields. He also discussed the programme of his official visit, alongside the National Health Insurance Programme team, to South Korea from February 28 to March 4 to avail of the South Korean experiences in the health insurance field and autonomy of hospitals. The Supreme Health Council Chairman reviewed the outstanding role of the council in mapping out a national strategy for health and developing quality standards. The South Korean ambassador praised Bahrain's health system, voicing his country's readiness to further boost bilateral cooperation in the health field.
