BNA, Xinhua explore cooperation ties

Manama, Feb. 19 -- (BNA): Bahrain News Agency (BNA)'s Acting Director-General Mohannad Sulaiman Al-Noaimi received the Director of the Chinese News Agency (Xinhua)'s Office in Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Wang Yu. Al-Noaimi and Mr. Wang Yu explored aspects of existing cooperation between the two news agencies and means of boosting and developing it for the benefit of both sides, in addition to what has been attained regarding the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two news agencies in order to exchange news and footage about Bahrain and China as part of the increasingly-growing solid friendship and cooperation relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People's Republic of China at all levels, especially in the media and journalism. During his visit, Mr. Wang Yu toured the various sections and facilities of Bahrain News Agency, was briefed by BNA's Acting Director-General on the duties and responsibilities of the various sections and modern techniques used in broadcasting news and images, in addition to the significant role undertaken by BNA in boosting the Kingdom's relations with brotherly and friendly countries, especially in the media and press arena.
