Bonn, London to hang anti-war Iranian artworks

TEHRAN,March 7 (MNA) -- An exhibition of the latest works by the young Iranian artist Hojat Amani with the central theme of war in the Middle East will open in Germany and England in April 2012. The exhibit in Bonn will be a solo show displaying a selection of 20 mixed media, Amani told on Tuesday. He added that he will be showcasing his works in London along with two other Iranian artists, “the works reflect my hatred for war and my love of peace”, he said. Reflecting the recent wars in the region, some bear slogans I have written here and there on the canvas depicting my dream of peace in the Middle East, he added. A selection of his series of angels is available at the Janet Rady Fine Art Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Gallery in London. Amani is also planning to exhibit a collection of his calligraphy works in Hong Kong in May and his tapestries will go on show in New Mexico in September 2012. Tehran’s Dey Gallery displayed his series of angels last month. One of his artworks was also sold at Bonhams Dubai auction last year.
