Celebration of Independence Day in Spain

Madrid, December 19, 2009 (Khabar) - Reception was held in the Kazakhstani embassy in Madrid in honor of 18th anniversary of independence of our country. Over 300 guests, representatives of royal court and Spanish government, public circles, diplomatic corps and Kazakh diaspora visited the reception. Ambassador Yergali Bulegenov welcomed the guests and noted development of Kazakhstani-Spanish relations and told about priorities of chairmanship of our country in OSCE the next year and about initiative of holding of summit in Astana.
During the celebration of Independence Day in Madrid, Spanish bicycle racer Alberto Contador, member of “Astana” team was handed the gratitude letter and memorable gift for sports achievements and agitation of image of Kazakhstani capital.
