Crown Prince meets Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference

Manama, Nov6(BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Yu Zhengsheng, and his accompanying delegation at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to developing relations with China, noting that Bahrain and its GCC neighbours recognise the important role that China plays in the development of the global economy. His Royal Highness welcomed the senior Chinese official and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom, and emphasised the shared interest between both countries in further developing bilateral ties. In this regard, His Royal Highness highlighted His Majesty King Hamad’s visit to China last year, which resulted in a significant increase in bilateral activities across a range of sectors. On the steady growth of bilateral coordination across many sectors, in particular economic and investment activities amongst the private and public sectors in both countries, His Royal Highness highlighted how this mutual commitment has resulted in the expansion of many Chinese companies present in the Kingdom. His Royal Highness went on to note that Bahrain and China share a common outlook on the values of stability and security, which serves to strengthen bilateral and legislative coordination. In response, the Chinese official expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and highlighted China’s commitment to further developing bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Excellency continued to underline China’s firm commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s pursuit for long term security and stability and to further attain greater achievements. The meeting was also attended by a number of senior government officials.
