Manama, Sep.12 (BNA): The vital role played by the financial and banking sector in spurring growth and revitalizing the economy was praised. Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa noted the crucial contribution of this vital pillar in creating promising investment opportunities and spearheading development projects. The minister made the statement during his remote meeting via video conference with Standard Chartered Middle East and Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Dr. Boutros Klink. He reiterated Bahrain’s keenness on consolidating the role of financial and banking institutions towards achieving desired goals. Issues of common interest and latest global economic developments were also discussed.
