French editor Jacques Comets completes “Khorramshahr” editing

TEHRAN,Feb.26(MNA) -- French editor Jacques Comets has completed the editing phase of the Iranian production “Khorramshahr” in France. An editor of international hits like “Lumumba” (2000) by Raoul Peck and “Face” (2009) by Ming-liang Tsai, Comets is a Professor at La Femis, the European Film School Network in Paris, producer Mohammad Afarideh told on Saturday. Shooting was completed in Tehran and Shiraz, and the movie later was submitted to France for post-production stage, Afarideh said, adding that the film editing was completed within 12 weeks by Comets. Directed by Masud Bakhshi, the movie depicts a present-day Tehrani family recalling the old days of Sacred Defense and focusing on the liberation of Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988). He also said that Comets was invited to Iran in 2006 to hold several workshops at the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) College and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran. Babak Hamidian, Mehrdad Sediqian, Ahu Kheradmand, and Behnaz Jafari are among the cast members of the movie. The documentary “Tehran Has No More Pomegranates” is Bakhsi’s other noteworthy credit.
