HM the King receives British defence senior advisor

Manama, Mar. 22. (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al-Safriya Palace today the British Defence Senior Advisor for the Middle East Lieutenant General Tom Beckett, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. HM the King welcomed Lt. General Beckett, and lauded the long-standing solid Bahraini-British relations, praising the steady progress of bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially the military and defence ones. HM King Hamad affirmed the two countries' joint keenness to enhance their deep-rooted ties at all levels for the sake of achieving common interests. HM the King lauded the role played by the United Kingdom, along with the International Community, to promote security and stability in the region. HM King Hamad discussed with the British Defence Senior Advisor for the Middle the latest regional and global developments, and issues of mutual interest. Lt. General Beckett expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his interest and keenness in bolstering bilateral cooperation, and expanding its areas, particularly in the military and defence fields. He also lauded the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts in supporting regional security and stability.
