HRH Premier calls for intensifying GCC, Bahraini-Qatari meetings

Manama, Feb. 19. (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called for the need to intensify GCC and Bahraini-Qatari meetings, especially the high-level ones. He stressed that high-profile political meetings will convey messages that reflect the nature of bilateral relations, enhance communication and strengthen constructive dialogue aiming to promote joint relations and solidify the Gulf Cooperation Council. "Consolidation of cooperation among GCC countries is a necessity in order to be able to face potential challenges," he said. HRH Premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Personal Representative to the Qatari Amir Shaikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He valued highly the visit of Shaikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to the kingdom, noting that it reflects the Qatari Amir's Personal Representative's sincere feelings towards HRH Premier and the Kingdom of Bahrain. HRH the Prime Minister and the Personal Representative to the Qatari Amir reviewed the deep-rooted Bahraini-Qatari relations, and ways to bolster them in various fields. They stressed the importance of intensifying visits of officials from both countries to enhance bilateral cooperation and broaden its areas. Shaikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him during his visit. He lauded the advanced level of two brotherly countries' relations, growing steadily thanks to the solid ties bonding the them. He wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity. HRH Premier hosted a reception ceremony in honour of his distinguished guest, in the presence of senior Royal Family members and senior state officials.
