Iran to hold spiritual film week in Moscow

TEHRAN,Jan.21(MNA) -- Iranian Spiritual Film Week will open in Moscow on February 4, dedicating a section to a retrospective of Iranian filmmaker Reza Mirkarimi. Cosponsored by the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, Iran’s Embassy in Moscow and Iran’s Art Bureau, the week will open with Mirkarimi’s family drama “A Cube of Sugar”. The movies are dubbed into Russian and Mirkarimi is also expected to attend the event. In “A Cube of Sugar”, four sisters come home to help with preparations for their youngest sister’s engagement party, however not everything goes as planned. Negar Javaherian, Rima Raminfar, Saeid Pursamimi, Parivash Nazarieh, Reza Kianian and Hedayat Hashemi are the A-list cast of the film. “So Far, So Close”, “So Simple”, “Under the Moonlight”, and “The Child and the Soldier” are some of Mirkarimi’s films to go on screen during the week.
