Iran-Kazakhstan FMs underline expansion of ties

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart called for expansion of bilateral ties between Tehran and Astana. According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Friday, Salehi in a meeting with Yerzhan Kazykhanov, on the sidelines of the NAM meeting, discussed the latest developments in the region. Kazakh FM appreciated holding the 16th NAM summit by Iran. Kazykhanov said that he was impressed by excellent way of holding the meeting and congratulated Iran's chairmanship on NAM. He also repeated his invitation for Salehi to visit Astana. In the meeting, the two sides underlined rapid implementation of bilateral and multilateral railway projects.
