Iranian artists to hold joint exhibit in Dubai

TEHRAN,March 14(MNA) -- The Gallery of Isabelle van den Eynde in Dubai will be playing host to a group exhibit by Iranian artists opening on March 18. Entitled “I Put It There, You Name It” Brothers Ramin and Rokni Haerizadeh along with Hesam Rahmanian will present a joint exhibition running until May 17. Receiving wide international acclaim, Ramin’s works went on show in Charles Saatchi’s exhibit in London, 2009. Ramin has participated in group shows in Berlin, New York, Istanbul and Tehran, and has works in international collections such as the British Museum. Works by Rokni, ranging from painting to collage and animation, form a narrative art that explores the extremities of human behavior. Haerizadeh finds humor in the arts from the late Safavid to Qajar eras. Rokni’s works are found at public and private collections, among which are the Tate Modern and the British Museum. Rahmanian studied fine art and calligraphy in Tehran, followed by applied art and design in California. Most recently, he has had solo exhibits in London and Dubai, and has participated in a group show at the Royal College of Art in London.
