Iranian ensemble Hamnavazan to perform in U.S.

TEHRAN,Feb.9 (MNA) -- The Iranian ensemble Hamnavazan led by vocalist Homayun Shajarian will be performing in the United States during a concert tour that will begin next week. New York will host their performance on February 17. They will give a concert on February 19 in Washington and on February 23 they will give performance in Chicago. They will end their tour in Los Angeles with performances on February 25 and 26. The pieces are composed by the conductor of the ensemble Ali Qamsari and they are a combination of Iranian, western music and flamenco on poems by Hafez, Sadi, Rumi, Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani, Hushang Ebtehaj and Fereydun Moshiri. Ali Qamsari on tar, guitar and divan, Bahram Aqakhan on flamenco guitar, Negar Kharkan on kamancheh, La’ya Etemadi on violin alto, Atena Eshtiaqi on violin cello, Mesbah Qamsari on Kaman, Hossein Rezaiinia on daf, Homayun Nasiri on percussion and Ayeen Meshkatian on tonbak accompany the ensemble.
