Iranian International Film Market kicks off

TEHRAN,Feb.4(MNA) – The Iranian International Film Market was opened Thursday at Tehran’s Milad Tower.
The market is held annually on the sidelines of the Fajr International Film Festival, the most important event on the Iranian cinematic calendar.
The 15th edition of the market running from February 2 to 6 in Tehran opened with 80 international companies coming from 56 countries and 40 Iranian organizations.
Companies from Lebanon, Germany, Turkey, Afghanistan, Syria, Jordan India and several other countries are offering their products at the market, executive director of the market Vahid Esfandiari told .
Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), Farabi Cinematic Foundation, Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), National Foundation for Computer Games, and Iranian Young Cinema Society are some of the participating Iranian organizations.
The Iranian Young Cinema Society is also offering the book market of 2011 films including short films, fiction, documentaries and animations in addition to a synopsis of the films in both English and Persian.
