Iran`s “Heartsound” now audible

TEHRAN,March 7(MNA) -- “Heartsound” (“Delseda”), an album composed of songs by a number of Iranian pop stars focusing on national themes, was released on Monday.
Singers Fereidun Aseraii, Mehdi Yaqmaii, Farzad Farzin, Behnam Safavi, Shahab Ramezan, Shahed Sadeqpur, and Mohsen Chavoshi each perform a song on the album.
All the singers, except for Chavoshi, attended an unveiling ceremony held at Tehran’s Simorgh Hotel. The event was organized by the Besharat Haq Artistic Studies Institute, which commissioned the production of the album.
“The album is not meant to produce revenue,” Safavi said about the album, which features some songs that commemorate the martyrs and victims of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war that is known as the Sacred Defense in Iran.
“The album was produced to link the younger generation with the Sacred Defense through exquisite language,” added Safavi, who performed the song “I Cannot Bear” on the album.
“The national spirit has declined among us, the youth. Through this album, we want to ignite a fire, which has been snuffed out in the soul of the youth for years,” said Farzin, who sang “My Way” for the album.
“‘Heartsound’ talks of a national issue and is not connected with any particular group or faction,” he stated.
Chavoshi, who performed “Curse on War!” for the album, could not attend the unveiling ceremony of “Heartsound”.
