Iran`s Fajr Intl. Music Festival opens today

TEHRAN,Feb.13(MNA) – The 27th Fajr International Music Festival will kick off this evening at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall with the Namira Choir conducted by Farhad Harati. Vahdat Hall will also host performances by Iran’s Rudaki Symphony Orchestra conducted by Arash Amini on the opening day, Persian news agencies reported on Sunday. Several theaters across the capital are hosting performances during the festival; Rudaki Hall will be hosting three choral music performances on the first evening. Eyvan-e Shams Theater, which is hosting the international section of the festival, will witness performances by the Bazaarpool Ensemble, a four member group of artists from Iran, Switzerland, and Sweden, on the first day. The Iranian ensemble Khonya conducted by vocalist Pari Maleki will give an exclusive concert for women on the first day at the Niavaran Cultural Center. Niavaran Cultural Center will be hosting a guitar concert by university students as well as a solo piano performance by Farzin Tehranian. Miras Ensemble lead by Arash Qasemi will be giving their concert at the City Theater Complex. Andisheh Hall of Tehran’s Art Bureau will be playing host to children’s music band “Pars” conducted by Naser Nazar. Pop music lovers and fans will be taking part in the concert by Ehsan Khajeh-Amiri at Milad Tower on the first day. The festival will be running until February 19 in Tehran.
