Parliament Speaker praises China's stances

Manama, Nov. 6. (BNA) -- Speaker of the Council of Representatives Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani has praised the deep-rooted Bahraini-Chinese strategic relations, and valued highly China's firm supportive stances. This came as he received a high-level Chinese delegation, headed by the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng, in the presence of the Second Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives Sheikh Adel Al Mawada, Secretary General of the Parliament Abdulla bin Khalaf Al Dossary and Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain Li Chen. Al-Dhahrani underlined the advanced level of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural fields, highlighting the exchange of parliamentary and legislative expertise. YU Zhengsheng expressed his country's delight at Bahrain's achievements and development, stressing the unified bilateral stances. He affirmed China's unwavering support for Bahrain's efforts to maintain its security and stability. They reviewed bilateral relations, joint coordination in regional and international arenas, cooperation in the investment and infrastructure development fields, attracting Chinese companies. They also hailed the steady growth of GCC-Chinese relations,praising Bahrain's role in enhancing those ties. The meeting was attended by MP Ahmed Al Saati, MP Abbas Al-Madhi, MP Hassan Bukhammas, MP Shaikh Jawad Bu Hussain and Assistant Secretary General for Financial Administrative and Information Technology Affairs Mohammed Hassan Al Gharib.
