President of Libyan Presidency Council Visits Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy

Doha, September 15 (QNA) - HE President of the Presidency Council of the State of Libya Dr. Mohamed Al Menfi and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to the headquarters of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, on the sidelines of his current visit to the State of Qatar. HE Dr. Mohamed Al Menfi was accompanying during the visit by Chief Executive Officer of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Nasser Al Khater. HE Dr. Al Menfi toured the headquarters of the Committee where he was briefed on the most prominent features of the World Cup projects, including stadiums, facilities and services. HE listened to a detailed explanation given by Official Spokesman for the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Khaled Al Naama, who talked about the history of Qatari clubs and their establishment, as well as the most prominent players of the Qatari team. Al Naama also presented the eight stadiums that will host the 2022 World Cup matches, and reviewed their most prominent features and mass capacity, and the legacy that the tournament will leave. HE Dr. Al Menfi watched a video about all the information related to the World Cup, the way to reach the stadiums through modern means of transportation, in addition to the most prominent landmarks in the State of Qatar. His Excellency expressed his admiration for the development he noticed at the level of facilities in Qatar, and the intensive preparations to host the World Cup, indicating that Qatar will present an ideal version of the World Cup in 2022. At the same time, he praised the World Cup stadiums and their features and modern technology which will create a wonderful atmosphere that encourages to attend and keep up with this distinguished global event.
