Representatives' Council, Amnesty International delegation discuss cooperation

Manama, May 7 (BNA) – Council of representatives' Human Rights Committee today met Amnesty International delegation led by Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Programme of Amnesty International, Saeed Boumedouha, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, Deputy Chairman MP Abdullah bin Hwail said. MP Hwail underscored keenness to develop cooperation relations in the interest of Bahrain's interest, human rights and Royal reforms. He welcomed human rights organisations' visits to Bahrain and highlighted neutrality when issuing reports and statements. He underlined the legislative and executive efforts and achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of human rights, noting the misinformation conveyed by certain societies to international human rights organizations.
