SCW Assistant Sec-Gen receives Palestinian Legislative Council member

Manama, May 7 (BNA) -- Supreme Council for women (SCW) Assistant Secretary-General, Dhawiyah Al-Alawi, today received Palestinian Legislative Council member, Amaal Hamad, on the sidelines of the Dialogue among Civilizations and Cultures Conference being held in Bahrain. SCW Assistant Sec-Gen reviewed the SCW's march, led by HRH Princess sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, and its role in supporting and empowering Bahraini women socially, economically and politically, as well as integrating their needs into the national development through the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women. Amaal Hamad praised SCW President role in supporting Bahraini women locally and internationally. Amaal Hamad is a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Chairperson of the Palestinian Women's Union, a human rights and social activist and a member of the PLO Central Council. MJ
