SCW's delegation participates in Forum on Women's Leadership in Public Life

Paris , Apr 3 (BNA) -- Supreme Council for Women (SCW) is currently participating in a high-level international forum on Women's Leadership in Public Life under the theme of ( Fostering Diversity for Inclusive Growth), which is organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OCED) from 2 - 4 of current month in Paris. SCW's delegation comprises of Director of National Strategy for the Advancement of Bahraini women, Acting Director-General of Policy and Development, Dr. Dunia Ahmed Abdullah, and Head of International Cooperation, Acting Director of Public and International Relations, Shaikha dina Al Khalifa. The forum focuses on promoting the integration of women's needs in decision-making to achieve overall growth, women in judicial and legal positions and women occupying leading positions to achieve balance in leadership positions in government sector. The forum reviewed bringing about equal opportunities in public life, means of dealing with social and legal concepts which constitute discrimination against women to promote the principle of equal opportunities in government institutions, as well as policies, applications and programmes responsive to women. OCED is an international organization consists of a group of developed countries that accepts principles of representative democracy and free market economy that was first emerged from Organization for European Economic Cooperation in 1948.
