UAE sends aid to Libyan schools

Abu Dhabi, Sept 2, 2012 (WAM) - The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) delivered 20 tonnes of stationery and school bags and clothes for displaced students to the Libyan Red Crescent on Saturday on directives from the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The effort for Libya is being followed up on by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the RCA. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
