Modernization Stepped up at Fisheries of DPRK
Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Fisheries in the DPRK are spurring the updating work, true to the resolutions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The Ministry of Fisheries has taken technical and practical measures to timely solve the knotty problems while strengthening the field guidance to the units where projects for strengthening the material and technical foundations are in full swing.
The Sinpho Fishery Station, associated with the Party's leadership feats, worked out a phased plan for completing the modernization project in a short span of time and has pushed ahead with it.
The Thongchon Fishery Station has stepped up the construction of more than 10 buildings, including a cultural house, general welfare service facilities and sanatorium, greenhouse and mushroom cultivation ground.
The work for building up the marine fish breeding bases is also accelerated in accordance with the phased plan. -0-
