‘Military commanders meet Supreme Leader every week’

TEHRAN, Feb. 8 (MNA) – Military commanders hold meetings with the Supreme Leader once in a week, Iranian chairman of the Leader’s office announced on Tuesday. Mohammadi Golpayegani said in these meetings the military chiefs present reports about activities and possible shortcomings and the Leader “shows the path to them”. Golpayegani also said if Iran had not had powerful armed forces like the IRGC and Army the “enemies of the Islamic Republic would not have allowed us to live in security.” The arrogant powers have been hostile to the Islamic Republic, however, they “have not dared to do any action against our country,” Golpayegani noted. Pointing to the technological capabilities of the Iranian armed forces, he said, “Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution until today we have reached a degree of progress that succeeded to bring down the most secret and most advanced spy plane of the U.S. after entry to the Iranian sky and the U.S. president personally asked for a return of the spy plane.”
