10 tons of drugs seized in Iran

KERMAN, Feb. 23 (MNA) – In an operation, codenamed Ashura-90, about 10 tons of illicit drugs and hundreds of small arms were seized in the provinces of Kerman, South Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Hormozgan, Iranian police chief announced on Wednesday. Many criminals were also arrested during the operation, Ahmadi-Moqaddam told reporters. He expressed hope that security would be promoted in the country through mounting such operations.
